Möja teems with life during the summer. Around 300 people live here all year round. There is a general store, museum, pub, cafes and several restaurants. In the village of Berg you will find most of the restaurants as well as the Möja dance and movie palace, which is the island's obvious meeting point, with many pleasant activities.
RESTAURANTS ON MÖJA
You can easily go out to eat as Wikström's fish restaurant that serves freshly caught fish all year round. The restaurant is about 1.5 km from the cottage. Even closer to your accommodation there is a nice little inn (Jeppes Gästgiveri) in the middle of Långvik's village, near the house. Good food is served there in a cozy environment and they usually also sell fresh bread.
ACTIVITIES ON MÖJA
Möja's beautiful archipelago nature is the perfect relaxation and experience with fine marked hiking trails and winding dirt roads for walks and bike rides. On the
Visit Möja website you will find all possible useful information collected to make it easier for visitors to plan their stay at Möja. There are also opportunities to use Möja's kayak rental at
Möja Outdoor. It is also possible to rent smaller boats and jet skis here. The same company also arranges guided tours in the archipelago around Möja.
SWIMMING AND BATHING ON MÖJA
Within 10 minutes' walking distance from your cabin there is a wonderful small lake with rock bathing. Here, the water is bath-warm from May to September. Even within a 10-minute walk from the cabin in the other direction, there is access to sea bathing.
GETTING GROCERYS ON MÖJA
The
grocery store in Långvik is open during the summer and opens midsummer week. The
grocery store Coop in Berg, about 5 km away, is open all year round and is an agent for
Systembolaget (alcohol) as well as
Apoteket (medicines) and a postal agent.You can also order food deliveries from
Mathem, who deliver directly to the steamboat dock a few hundred meters from the house. Keep in mind that all food and drink orders must be made well in advance of the desired delivery date.
Getting around on Möja
You can easily get around the island with the house's bicycles on the fine gravel road or ride with
Möja Up & Down which has fixed passenger tours across the island all summer.
Getting to möja - transportation to möja
You can only get to Möja by boat and there are no car ferries to the island.
Passenger boats depart from central Stockholm several times a day during high season. There is also the option of renting your own
taxi boat, for a slightly more exclusive transport out to Möja.
